Work with Neon Postgres from Superconductor coding agents
Connect Neon to Superconductor and your coding agents can now query your databases, try migrations on a Neon branch, and track down slow queries. Superconductor runs that work in a shared session, so a teammate can review the migration and its results with the agent before it's applied to your main database.
Superconductor lets you and your team chat with coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Pi, and more in shared, secure cloud sessions.
With our Neon integration, you can
- Test a migration on a Neon branch before applying it
- Answer a data question with a SQL query
- Find slow queries and suggest indexes
Try asking
- Compare the schema on the Neon branch for this pull request with main, and list every difference.
- Create a read-only Postgres role in Neon for our analytics tool, and give me the connection details.
- Restore yesterday's snapshot of our staging database to a new Neon branch, so I can see what the data looked like before the bad import.
Technical details
- Agents can
- Run SQL; manage projects, branches, databases, roles, computes, and snapshots
- Access
- The projects the connected Neon account or API key can reach
- Needs
- Sign in with Neon, or a Neon API key
- Server
- Neon's official hosted MCP server
Questions
- Does it use Neon's official MCP server?
- Yes. Agents connect to Neon's hosted MCP server at
mcp.neon.tech. Sign in with Neon, or paste a Neon API key. - Can agents change or delete my data?
- Only if you allow it. When you sign in with Neon, choose read-only or read-and-write access. With write access or an API key, agents can run any SQL and delete projects, branches, and databases, so connect an account that can't reach production data.
- Can I limit agents to one project?
- Yes. When you sign in with Neon, you can limit the connection to a single project.
