Credentials

Configure your OpenRouter API key at the Project or Workspace level.

You can get an API key from OpenRouter Keys.

Models

Pi supports the following OpenRouter-backed models. Each profile runs at a fixed reasoning effort, shown in parentheses:

  • Opus 5 (High) - Most capable Opus-tier model for complex reasoning
  • GPT-5.6 Sol (Extra High) - The most capable GPT-5.6 option for complex coding, reasoning, and polish
  • Grok 4.5 (High) - xAI's previous-generation model, for comparing against Grok Build
  • DeepSeek V4 Pro (High) - Higher-capability DeepSeek model for harder implementation tasks
  • DeepSeek V4 Flash (High) - Faster DeepSeek model for lighter changes
  • GLM 5.3 (Max) - Z.ai's latest coding model
  • GLM 5.3 Flash (Max) - Z.ai's faster coding model for lighter changes
  • Kimi K3 (Max) - Moonshot AI's flagship agentic model with a 1M-token context window
  • MiniMax M3 (High) - MiniMax's latest general-purpose model
  • Qwen3.8 Max (Extra High) - Alibaba's flagship reasoning model
