LaunchDarkly
Connect LaunchDarkly so agents can manage feature flags, experiments, and AgentControl configs, and query observability data.

The LaunchDarkly MCP server lets agents check and change your feature flags, and look at the logs and errors behind a release.
For use cases and example prompts, see LaunchDarkly for AI coding agents.
What is LaunchDarkly?
LaunchDarkly is a feature management platform for releasing features behind flags, running experiments, and monitoring what you ship.
What agents can do
Once you connect LaunchDarkly, agents can:
- Create, update, and turn feature flags on or off, and change their targeting and rollouts
- Find stale flags and archive or delete them
- Manage segments, experiments, and metrics, and read experiment results
- Manage AgentControl configs and prompt snippets, and create AI evaluations
- Query logs, traces, errors, and sessions, and manage dashboards and alerts
Agents can only do what the connected LaunchDarkly member or access token can do.
Agents can change flags in production and permanently delete them. To keep agents read-only, connect a member or access token with the Reader role.
Setup
LaunchDarkly's hosted MCP server isn't available for accounts on its EU or federal instances.
Go to Workspace Settings → Connectors (or a project's Connectors page) and click Connect on the LaunchDarkly card (or Connect another to add another account).
Step 1: who the connection is for
Choose Me or Workspace as the owner, then choose where agents can use the connection. The default is Me, with In my private chats selected. Enable In projects separately and choose All projects, including future ones or Some projects. Anyone with access to those projects can use the connection, including in sessions they launch themselves. See connection options for what each choice means.
Click Continue.
Step 2: how agents reach LaunchDarkly
The second screen has two tabs: LaunchDarkly account and Access token. Pick one.
LaunchDarkly account
This tab is selected by default, and it's the easiest way in — there's no token to create.
Click Continue to LaunchDarkly. LaunchDarkly lists the permissions Superconductor asks for and notes that the app hasn't been verified by LaunchDarkly. Click Authorize, and you land back on the Connectors page with LaunchDarkly connected.
Agents then act in LaunchDarkly as whoever signed in. If you enable In projects, anyone with access to those projects can use that account — so sign in with an account whose permissions you're happy to share.
Access token
In LaunchDarkly, open Organization settings → Authorization and click Create token. The token's Role sets what agents can do. See LaunchDarkly's access token docs. Paste the token into the LaunchDarkly API Access Token field and click Connect LaunchDarkly.
Reconnecting and disconnecting
LaunchDarkly makes you authorize a LaunchDarkly account connection again every 90 days. When one stops working, the Connectors page shows a Reconnect needed badge on it, and agents run without LaunchDarkly.
Click Manage next to the connection to fix it. A connection you made with LaunchDarkly account has no token to replace: it shows Account connection: Connected and, when something's wrong, a Reconnect LaunchDarkly button. You can only reconnect a personal connection you own; for someone else's, Superconductor tells you who to ask.
Disconnect also revokes Superconductor's access at LaunchDarkly. If LaunchDarkly doesn't confirm the revocation, Superconductor tells you to revoke it yourself on the OAuth applications tab under Organization settings → Authorization. For an access token, delete it on the Tokens tab.
When to use it
Ask agents to use LaunchDarkly when a change ships behind a flag, a release needs checking, or old flags need cleaning up. For example:
Add a LaunchDarkly flag for the new checkout page, wrap the change in it, and leave the flag off in production.Which LaunchDarkly flags haven't changed in 90 days? Remove the fully rolled-out ones from our code, and list the rest.Errors went up after this morning's release. Check LaunchDarkly's error and log data, and tell me which flag changed around then. How is the pricing page experiment doing in LaunchDarkly? Summarize the results for each variation in plain words.
